Patricia C. Lee's Destiny Present

My guest today is Patricia C. Lee, and to be honest I’m unsure which one of us more excited about the release of her second book, Destiny’s Present!

It was an honor and privilege to have been one of the first to read this book. Narena’s story grabbed me from the very first page and held on tight until I reached the end.

I lost quite a few hours of sleep in the reading (I could NOT put it down), but I gained precious memories of a faraway land and place that will forever occupy a special place in my heart. Destiny's Present, like Destiny’s Past, is a must-read, 5-Star romantic magical adventure. I can’t wait for book 3 of the trilogy!

Now, let me tell you about Pat.

Although still in pursuit of a place truly called home, she currently lives in Ontario, Canada with her husband and three cats, all of which “claim rule over the house at one point or another”.

When her nose isn't pressed to the laptop monitor, you can find her at the public library. Besides dreaming up her next novel, Pat also enjoys traveling, baking, camping, wine, and of course reading - not necessarily in that order.

Anne – Welcome back to my little corner of cyberspace, Pat. It’s always a great day when you drop by for a visit. Tell us about the Daughters of the Crescent Moon series.

Patricia - When I starting writing Destiny’s Past, I had no idea that the story would morph into a trilogy. My first intention was to make it into a series with each book delving into the lives of a female character through time. But once I started on Destiny’s Present I knew the story would have more impact as a trilogy.

It was natural to have the sorceress as the heroine in the second book, considering she played an integral part in how Kelly and Jarek were brought together in the first. As I was writing her, I became more intrigued about who she is; her past and what made her so strong and willing to risk everything for her people.

Narena has secrets, deep ones.

In fact Destiny’s Present is all about secrets – who keeps them, who doesn’t and knowing the right time to reveal part or all of the information. Although Narena is strong she has a compassionate side that, because of circumstances in her past, she’s had to keep under wraps. But it comes out, sometimes not necessarily to her benefit.

All of Destiny’s Present takes place in the mythical land of Leisos, which I’ve put near ancient Persia. I’ve had fun digging into some of the area’s history and implementing snippets into the story. It’s also a more serious book, with plot twists around every corner.

Hopefully, my readers will have as much enjoyment reading it as I did writing it.

Anne – It’s a keeper on my Kindle! I know you’re too modest to mention it yourself, so I will. Besides being a talented author, you’re also an amazing creator when it comes to book trailers. Would you share the one you made for Destiny’s Present with us?

Patricia – Of course!

Anne – That trailer gives me goose bumps every time I watch it! Love it. Love Destiny’s Present, too. Where can readers get a copy?

Patricia – At Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Anne – One final question before you go, where can readers find you online?

Patricia – They can visit my website or blog. I’m also on Facebook, or they can email me: authorpatriciaclee AT yahoo DOT com.

Anne - Thanks, Pat. I wish you every success with the Daughters of the Crescent Moon Trilogy, and when book 3 is released, you have to promise to come back for another visit.
