It's day 24 of the A-Z Blogging Challenge. As you might imagine, some days pose more problems that others. Take X for example. What does one do for X?
I'm serious! Okay, here goes:
X is for xyst...
X marks the spot. It also crosses out, deletes and cancels. It’s the signature of an illiterate person. But xyst, ah, yes, a lovely xyst, is a tree-lined garden walk. Oh, and sometimes a kiss...xo xo xo!
I hope you've enjoyed my 'X' post. As always comments are welcome and encouraged.
Btw, if you do leave a comment your name will be entered in a draw to win e-book copies of both my books, Defending Glory and Frank, Incense and Muriel. The winner will be announced in early May. The more times you comment, the more chances to win!

Nicely done, Anne.
ReplyDeleteXebec...I had to look that up. A Mediterranian sailing ship. Also a company that promotes clean energy to the world. Fascinating. Thanks, Lindsay!
ReplyDeleteX, Mood!
ReplyDeleteGood word - I'm going to try and use the word xyst sometime this summer :)
ReplyDeleteGood word. Tough subject pick.
ReplyDeleteManzanita@Wannabuyaduck
What a great word. This was the hardest one in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteKaren
Thanks for dropping by, Manzanita. Loved your Xavier Cugat video!
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Karen. Haven't a clue why I didn't think of Xena, though!
ReplyDeleteHello, great post for the letter X.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment you left me.
Much appreciated.
Yvonne.
My pleasure, Yvonne!
ReplyDeleteHey, Jaydee, that would be cool right? I'd love to see your friend's reaction when you do! ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd a very lovely xyst it is too. I like the idea of x for a kiss as well. :-)
ReplyDeleteNot sure where it began, Rosalind, but our family has always written xo xo xo on our birthday, anniversary, Christmas cards. Kisses & hugs! I thought it was a British thing. Maybe not.
ReplyDeleteSee? I did not know a xyst is a tree-lined walk. Always like learning something new. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bish. I love trivia and odd words, too!
ReplyDeletewell done on the x it was a difficult one - how many managed it I wonder - will wander back when this madness is over and catch up on all you a-z's - see you later
ReplyDeleteAgreed, Alberta, X was difficult! I appreciate you dropping by later. :)
ReplyDeleteX certainly does pose a challenge...I think most of us have had to be very creative to conquer this one. You've done a great job doing so.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comments and for visiting my blog.

X was the toughest one for me, too. I haven't heard of xyst, but it's a great word! :)
ReplyDeleteIt seems to be unanimous. X is a tough one!
ReplyDeleteI will have to remember that word for Scrabble. We use XOXO for hugs and kisses too. There are so many X's that I never thought of! duh.
ReplyDeleteThat's been the fun part throughout this challenge, Darlene.
ReplyDeleteEvery day I have a DUH moment when someone mentions or uses a word I should've thought of before I wrote my post!
But hey, life is all about connecting and interacting, and this has been such fun. Honestly, I'm gonna miss it when the A-Z Challenge ends.
THEN what am I gonna blog about?!
Hi Anne!
ReplyDeleteCute! :~)
Kathy
Thanks, Kathy!
