G is for Goal

Welcome to day seven and the end of week number one of the A-Z Blogging Challenge.

Along with 900 other bloggers, I've signed up to post every single solitary day of the month of April (except on Sundays). The assignment? To work my way through the alphabet, letter by letter, day by day!

G is for Goal...

Gadzooks, gasped the gatekeepers. You want to be the next John Grisham? What a goal! What gall!

It’s a gamble, they said. A gauntlet of gangplanks, gallows, and gaffes, to be sure. You may be gifted, a gem or genius, but are you THAT good to dare enter our galaxy?

Yes, she declared.

They glared at the gutsy girl, then gravitated to their gaudy gazebo. They gabbled and gibbered. Would the gains turn golden or gangrene? The gang of gnomes did not know. Their gabfest ground to a halt. Finally, they gawked back at the gnat with a goal.

She surprised them with a giggle and gesture - a middle finger, no less. Wishing the guardians Godspeed, she withdrew her submission. The gatekeepers greed and indecision, she realized, held no guarantee she would reach her goal. From now on, she would govern and gage her own gains…and self-publish on Amazon.

Gadzooks, gasped the gatekeepers!
